1. What is Flip Transfer

Flip Transfer is a file transfer service specially designed for transferring files from one device to another of the same user (example: you want to transfer photos from your smartphone to your computer). Flip Transfer is a web-based service, which means that it works on any device or operating system.

2. How to use Flip Transfer

2.1. How to upload a file

When you visit https://flip-transfer.com you will be given the option to choose between upload and download. To upload a file, select Upload.

Next, you have two options to upload a file. Either you drag and drop a file into the "Add files" area or you click on "Add files" and your file chooser opens. You can select as many files as you want at once. We recommend not to select more than 30 files at a time. You can click on "Add files" again after each upload and select more files.

Attention: The file size must not exceed 250 MB!

Wait till your file is uploaded

Now your file is uploaded

Files uploaded to Flip Transfer are available for 24 hours and will be removed after that!

Above the file table is a line in which the so-called FLIP-ID is specified. You have to remember this ID to be able to download your files again later.

2.2. How to download a file

When you visit https://flip-transfer.com you will be given the option to choose between upload and download. To download a file, select Download.

Next, you will be prompted to enter a FLIP ID. Here you enter the FLIP ID from before, which you hopefully remembered.

Now press download and your previously uploaded files will be shown.

Now you have again two options how you want to download your files. First you can click on the filename to download the files one by one or second you press "Download as ZIP" and all your files will be automatically packed into a ZIP and this will be downloaded.
